Opera
Gianni Schicchi, by Giacomo Puccini
Solo (Nella and Ciesca)
Colonial Theatre, November 2014. Compañía Lírica Integral
About Gianni Schicchi:
Comic opera, of a costumbrist and theatrical character. After the death of Buoso Donati -a relatively rich bachelor-, the whole family gathers to mourn the loss, waiting for their share of the inheritance. When they hear the rumors about the deceased having left his fortune to a monastery, speculations about how to reverse the will begin. The solution seems to be Gianni Schicchi -a well-known rogue and liar-, who gets the role wanted by the family, in exchange for a hefty portion of the inheritance.

Solo (Suor Genovieffa, Suor Infirmiera and Prima Sorella Cercatrice) and Choral work
Colonial Theatre, December 2013 and August-September 2014. Compañía Lírica Integral
About Suor Angelica:
Typically verista work of art; in order to acclimate, Puccini visited the Convent of Vicopelago, where his sister Higinia was the Abbess. This is how the play reflects the daily life of the nuns and their personalities, as well as their different attitudes towards the enigmatic Suor Angelica, who has a secret that is revealed later in the story. This will lead her into committing the mortal sin of suicide, searching frantically to reunite with her late son.
